Let's Do Lunch!

Calender Full?

No Worries, You Can Catch Up on Happenings at the McKay School from the Alumni Web Site.

Are there memories more vivid than our college years? Most of us can even remember which years those were, unlike so many other events in our busy lives. Your memories may include a "proposal" or even a first child, or second . . . , etc. Certainly eating lunch in the CougarEat, hiking up the stairs from the Smith Fieldhouse, and "walking" at graduation bring back emotions and a sigh over how long it has been.

The wonderful impact of BYU and the McKay School of Education does not have to be limited to memories. We would love to have you not only remember but reconnect. So we can't do lunch. But we can offer opportunities for you to share others'  interesting ideas, make your own comments, and just plain keep in touch over your own lunch with your computer open to the McKay Education Society for Alumni and Friends.

Do You Remember?

Some of us Remember the Skating Rink that Became a Grocery Store.

Do you remember keeping your food storage in boxes holding up each end of the “desk” made from an old door in the bedroom of your apartment? Or did you buy groceries at Reams in the old skating rink that looked like an upside down mixing bowl and have the checker (cashier to the younger alumns) take 10% off the total? What was your student ward like? Do you still get together with friends from those days? Maybe you've graduated more recently and remember how you noticed that the new Gordon B. Hinckley building has become part of the iconic skyline for the BYU Campus.

Our memories of those days are treasures to be shared with children and grandchildren. Both families and memories are forever.

How Can You Stay Connected?

The McKay Education Society for Family and Friends is Your Connection.

The McKay Education Society for Family and Friends is guided by an alumni board, organized to help us all remember and appreciate our college days. But it is more than that. Local chapters and The McKay Education Society Web Site provide ways to reconnect with the McKay School through attending events held in your area and reading about the latest McKay School research and more. We will communicate information, provide resources, and announce events that may interest you and help you reconnect and stay connected.
