Classroom teachers and student teaching artist will be required to participate in a three-hour training session
Student art specialists and classroom teachers are expected to participate in collaborative planning and written reflection throughout the project.
Documentation of the project must be submitted to your district arts coordinator who will share it with the EAEI board. It could include video documentation, photos, articles, lesson plans, journal entries, and student portfolios.
The comfort level of the teacher with the designated art form will be elevated to the point where they will continue to integrate the art form successfully in their future classrooms.
Teachers will be compensated $100.00 for their attendance and will be given $150.00 for supplies for the project. Left over money is for additional classroom supplies or other enrichment activities to benefit the students in continuing the chosen art form after the project is over.
BYU Candidate will receive up to $750 for the completion of the project and the semester of service, which is to include at least 50 hours of work from Oct. to April 1. Job completion is based on the quality and execution of the project. Hours can include student contact hours, preparation hours for planning, preparing materials, lesson plan development, project documentation and travel.
