The BYU A.R.T.S. Partnership is dedicated to improving teachers education in the arts.

Brigham Young University’s Elementary Pre-service Program requires each teaching candidate to take 2 credit hours in each art form, visual art, music, dance and drama. The outstanding faculty in the fine arts colleges at BYU work to give the candidates basic skills in the art form as well as practical integration strategies for their future classroom.

In arts specialist teacher education, in the fine arts colleges, Brigham Young University offers k-12 teacher certification in Visual Art, Music, Theater, and Dance. In addition, the Music Department offers a dual major in Music and Elementary Education.
