Admission Information

Prerequisite

Prerequisite to applying for the program, candidates must complete CPSE 400 (Exceptional Students) and 20 hours of volunteer work, 10 in a mild/moderate setting and 10 in a severe setting.

Admission

Preference will be given to applicants with

• 3.0 or above GPA,
• experience working with individuals with disabilities, and/or
• commitment to the profession of special education.

Those who are accepted must enter the program the semester to which they applied.

An individual may apply twice.

Coursework

Applicants must commit to taking all coursework in sequence as listed, including spring/summer terms. This is a “cohort” program, in which one cohort of students takes all courses in the outlined sequence; deviation from this sequence is not permitted.

Dates of Admission

The program starts fall semester of each year.
The deadline for alll applications is February 25th by 5:00 p.m.
