If you would like to be notified about the dates and locations of culturally enriching activities such as EGUA Diversity Discussions, MSE Brown Bag Lectures, and cultural events sponsored by Multicultural Student Services, please submit your name and a statement that you would like to join our mailing list to: byueducators@byu.edu.

You can unsubscribe at any time simply by sending an e-mail to the same address stating that you would no longer like to be included on the list.

Advertising Your Organization

One of the primary purposes of this association is to get students involved in service and the community. If you represent a non-profit organization supporting these aims, we can promote your organization on both our webpage and an Involvement Packet distributed to education students upon admission to the School of Education.

Please submit the following to byueducators@byu.edu:

* Name of your organization
* Contact Information
* Brief description of your organization's goals and activities
* A sentence or two about why it would be valuable for students to volunteer with your organization

We welcome any questions you might have about our organization, the School of Education, teaching, diversity, or any other related topic that might concern you. We will respond as soon as we are able.

The Suggestion Box

If there is an activity or project you would like to see our association take on, or if you have a suggestion for a change you would like to see in the School of Education, please send an e-mail with a detailed description of your suggestion to byueducators@byu.edu. We will do our best to accommodate your ideas or to direct you to an organization better suited to the task.

Joining Our Association

Who can join this association?

Any student, faculty member, or alumni who is:

* Willing to serve
* Enthusiastic about education
* Ready to learn from others
* Eager to improve our school and change the world!

What does a volunteer do?

Volunteers are asked to attend between two and four Project Development Meetings each month as a member of one of the three committees (see Association Organization). At these weekly meetings, each committee decides on projects to pursue and develops plans for carrying projects out. Committee members can simply help in planning and decision-making or can accept assignments to be performed at their leisure during the week.

Through these committees you can plan events, research multiculturalism, lend a voice to changes in the school, design materials, work on joint projects with other organizaitons, keep up the website, submit proposals, and implement your own project and activity ideas.
