The Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations (EDLF) has established a joint JD/M.Ed. program with the J. Reuben Clark Law School. The department will accept up to 9 hours of credit obtained in the Juris Doctorate program at the Law School toward the M.Ed.. However, to receive the full 9 hours of credit, the student’s program of study at the Law School must be approved by their advisory committee in EDLF. A crucial component of law students’ education and career preparation is summer clerkships. A certain amount of flexibility in scheduling core course work will be required from and for law students pursuing the JD./M.Ed..

| Sufficient elective courses in the Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations must be taken to total 30 hours together with the above courses and electives. J.D./M.Ed. students will be required to take the above requirements, including a comprehensive examination. Exceptions or alternative requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but will normally be granted only to accommodate extraordinary scheduling conflicts individual students may encounter between the two programs of study. All other M.Ed. requirements, including the comprehensive examination will remain the same. | ||
