ExSL Program:  Application & Admissions Information

Who can apply?  Interested teachers, counselors, or other educators who hold a bachelor’s degree and a teaching license are invited to apply.  Applicants must have a Level II teaching license prior to graduation.

School Leadership Program Information Meetings for 2010 Programs

The School Leadership Program has recently completed its annual information meetings for the 2010 programs. 

For more information, potential applicants for LPP and ExSL Programs are strongly encouraged to:

University and Department Requirements

Applicants for the ExSL Program must meet all University and Department application and admission requirements for the School Leadership Program. 

ExSL Application Information

Applicants for the ExSL Program must complete the following program-level requirements:

1.  Submit a completed ExSL Program Application Form

2.  Submit one of your letters of recommendation from the principal at the school where you currently teach (resident school principal).

ExSL Admissions Process

Campus Screening.  Invitations will be sent in March to qualified applicants.   Campus Screening in March involves interviews with faculty and school administrators.  The screening also entails a group discussion activity.  

Admissions.  Applications will be notified about admissions to the ExSL Program by mid-April.

Note:

- All ExSL candidates must have proven proficiency in writing, web searches,and word processing skills.
- Your acceptance into the ExSL program is contingent upon meeting the BYU requirements for admissions to graduate study.
