Who can apply? Interested teachers, counselors, or other educators who hold a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate are invited to apply. Interested educators from out of the state of Utah may also apply. How are participants selected? The department evaluates candidates in five areas: scholarship, instruction and curriculum, leadership, ethics and character, and service to children and youth. The evaluation is determined from the portfolio, letters of recommendation, Graduate Record Examination, and transcripts from previous college work. A further screening involves interviews and group interactions. All LPP finalists will be selected in consultation with district administrators. |
