The McKay School of Education is sponsoring its second annual Innovative Instruction Competition, in which students are challenged to collaborate in creating instructional innovations. Registration ends February 18th.  Entries are due March 18.

  • Two Grand Prizes of $3000 each
  • Six Honorable Mentions of $1000 each
  • One team will win the People's Choice Award with each team member receiving an iPad
  • Two to five students make up a team
  • Two competition categories: Teaching Challenge and Data Challenge
  • At least one team member must be an education major

Purpose

  • To encourage creative thinking
  • To explore new learning technologies
  • To increase faculty and student collaboration

Timeline

  • Registration ends February 18
  • Entries are due March 18
  • Finalists announced March 25
  • Finalists present to judges / winners are announced March 31
  • Winners attend and show their work at the McKay School Mentored Research Conference scheduled for April 5
  • Student Choice Award announced on April 15
