Explanation of the Innovative Instruction Competition

The McKay School of Education is sponsoring a competition in designing innovative learning experiences. The purposes of this competition are as follows:

1. To encourage creative thinking to find solutions to educational challenges
2. To encourage exploration of new learning technologies
3. To increase faculty and student collaboration around teaching and learning issues

To participate in the program, student design teams will (1) select a challenge--Teaching Challenge or Data Challenge--and (2) develop an innovative approach for addressing the challenge, incorporating the use of technology.
