Faculty Mentors for iic Competition

We highly reccommend that competition teams select a faculty mentor to act as a sounding board for their instructional design ideas.  A member of the faculty can provide expertise and advice in many areas, including content (subject matter), pedagogy (teaching methods and strategies), and technology (tools and learning environments).  This mentor may advise and assist in effectively integrating these three types of knowledge into an innovative instructional design to submit for the competition.

  2. Pedagogical knowledge
    • Experience with a variety of instructional methods for teaching the content
    • Ability to desigjn innovative strategies for teaching the subject matter
  3. Technological knowledge
    • Understanding of different kinds of classroom technology
    • Understanding of types of technology generally used outside the classroom

Faculty mentors are not official members of the design team and are not eligible to receive award money.
