This course will have you drumming, singing, moving and creating music. Students participate hands-on in elementary music learning activities. From reading music, to building a library of songs, to teaching singing games, students will learn how to integrate music making into their curriculum. Art For Elementary Teachers
VAEDU 326 - 3.0 credits
Pre-service teachers have the opportunity to develop creative confidence as they experiment with many artistic media. Through hands-on experience, they gain technical skills and greater insight for how different materials can be used. By viewing, discussing, and critically analyzing art, they gain literacy skills for “reading” visual works. Students also gain practical experience in lesson planning and unit design, and have many opportunities to practice teaching.
