The TEC Lab (technology, education, computing) provides technology support to the McKay School of Education and the secondary Education programs in the BYU Educator Preparation Program (EPP).

The goal of the TEC Lab is to improve the quality of teaching and learning by helping faculty and students appropriately integrate technology into their experiences at BYU and in public schools.

Resources Available for Student and Faculty Use

Desktop Computers

While using our Mac OS or Windows desktop computers, you can plug in your personal laptop for a dual monitor!

Troubleshooting

Need help with your computer or software issues? We can help! We offer IT support to supplement OIT.

Collaboration Space

Gather in the common area for homework with friends or group projects. The Fishbowl can be reserved at the front desk.

Portable Tech

To assist with creative or academic needs, iPads and tablets are available for check-out.

Photos and Images

TEC Lab provides image editing and scanning stations for students and faculty use.

Laptops

Need a laptop? We have Mac OS and Windows laptop computers you can borrow for up to a week.

Robots

Check-out our Educational Programming robots including Beebots, Ozobots, and Dash!

Conferencing & Presentations

Borrow projectors, conferencing microphones, OWL conference video cameras, or Swivls for your presenting needs.
