Welcome to Provo! Located
40 miles south of Salt Lake City, Provo is situated between
the beautiful Wasatch Mountains and Utah Lake. It is home
to over 111,000 people. Due to its unique location, Provo
and the surrounding area provide a multitude of outdoor
recreational opportunities, as well as a variety of shops,
restaurants, and museums.

Provo provides a variety of shopping
experiences. You can find both small shops and boutiques
in the downtown shopping district or large, modern shopping
malls within minutes of one another. The downtown area
features many smaller, unique shops and stores, while
the larger malls provide shoppers access to major retailers,
restaurants and cinemas.

Provo area. Several museums, such as the Monte
L. Bean Museum and the Museum
of Art (MOA), are located right on campus. Others

Its beautiful location makes Provo ideal
for all kinds of outdoor recreational activities. Recreational
enthusiasts can enjoy the great outdoors year round,
as Provo provides opportunities for everything from
downhill
and cross country skiing, to fishing,

camping, biking,
hiking,
rock climbing
and golfing.

|
There are plenty of opportunities to
watch high quality sporting events in Provo. The BYU
Cougars provide sports fan with plenty of opportunities
to enjoy football, basketball, baseball, softball
and volleyball, soccer and hockey, just to name
a few. Neighboring Orem is also home to the Orem
Owlz (a
minor league baseball team).
As Provo is only 40 minutes south of Salt Lake City,
it is within easy driving distance of three professional
sports organizations, the Utah
Jazz (basketball), the Utah
Grizzlies (hockey), Real
Salt Lake (soccer)
and the Salt
Lake Bees (minor
league baseball).
