Sample Job Description: Research & Evaluation

Program Evaluator/Statistician

Essential Job Functions

National healthcare company seeking program evaluator/statistician to develop methodologies for population-based quality of care studies and analysis of large data sets. This individual will work collaboratively with the project director and other team members on an External Quality Review.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  1. Individual must have proven experience in healthcare research.
  2. Individual must be an experienced researcher with strengths in research methodology and data analysis.
  3. Ph.D. or Masters in related field.

Specialized Skills Required

  1. Experience with SAS & database required.
  2. Knowledge of HEDIS & Medicaid managed care a plus.


Technical Performance Improvement Specialist

Purpose or Objective

  1. To provide direct support in assessing employee technical skills and performance, to develop, implement, and evaluate performance improvement initiatives using the principle of the behavioral services and performance technology.
  2. To research, develop, and coordinate the application of policies, processes, and standards for designing, developing, delivering, and continuously improve training and non-training interventions.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Conducts performance assessment and recommends appropriate and timely interventions which are cost effective, including but not limited to instructional interventions, for improving employees' performance and productivity.
  2. Designs, develops, evaluates, and supports the implementation with management of performance improvement initiatives.
  3. Develops and applies evaluation processes, analyzes data and takes necessary actions in order to continuously improve performance interventions, and documents the effectiveness of presented improvement interventions.
  4. Conducts periodic revisions of performance interventions and instructional materials to ensure they comply with Canadian Pacific Railway and stakeholders' requirements.
  5. Researches, develops, and coordinates implementation of corporate training standards for program design, development, delivery and evaluation.
  6. Keeps up to date with innovation and current development with the field of behavioral sciences and performance technology in order to offer performance improvement initiatives that are cost effective.
  7. Delivers Train-the-Trainer interventions to initiate instructors to new or redesigned instructional courses.

Education and Qualifications

  1. Graduate degree in Performance/Educational Technology or Instructional Systems Development.
  2. Five or more years experience in performance analysis, evaluation, design, and development of instructional interventions, preferably in large, geographically dispersed organization.
