Sample Job Description: University / college Professor

  • Responsibilities:
    1. Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in technology applications in education and other areas of instructional system design.
    2. Provide leadership and support for the advance of technology applications in pre-service teacher education and in the schools.
    3. Conduct and publish research related to instructional systems and educational technology.
    4. Advise and direct graduate students.

  • Requirements:
    1. Completed doctorate in Instructional Systems, Educational Technology, Educational Psychology, Instructional Psychology, or related discipline, with specialization in the application of technologies in the teaching and learning process.
    2. Evidence of conduction inquiry and publishing in an area related to educational technology.
    3. Experience in using interactive technologies in education and in the design and delivery of instruction.
    4. Experience in teaching in the area of educational technology at the undergraduate or graduate level.
    5. Experience in working with collaborative groups in educational settings.
