S. Todd Jones
A Master's Project Presented to the
Department of Instructional Psychology and Technology
August 1997
- Abstract: This report describes the design, development, and evaluation of a World Wide Web site for the Education Advisement Center at Brigham Young University. The web site uses internet technologies to make academic advisement information available to current and prospective students in the David O. McKay School of Education.
Each phase of the project's design and development involved feedback from students enrolled in the various undergraduate programs in the School of Education. All of the content included in the site was specifically chosen to help students complete major academic tasks and make informed career decisions.
Evaluation of the web site involved collecting data from student participants on issues of user friendliness and appeal. Overall, the user interface was easy to use and the online advisement information proved to be quite valuable to students in their respective degree programs.
