David O. McKay Photo Album - Teaching at Weber

When David O. McKay returned from his mission in August 1899, he had already been offered a teaching position at Weber Stake Academy, later called Weber College, in Ogden. He began teaching immediately after his return and within a few months became head of the Preparatory Department. He was appointed the principal of Weber Academy in April 1902 and served in that position until 1908 when he was called to the Quorum of The Twelve Apostles. Elder McKay continued his association with Weber Academy as the president of the Weber Academy Board of Trustees for several years after his call as a General Authority.
