Julie A. Peterson Nelson received a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Brigham Young University and has been trained in experimental research, Applied Behavior Analysis, and single-subject research. As a research associate for BYU-PBSI, she has collaborated with other associates in designing and implementing interventions to assist students with internalizing behaviors. Specifically, she has explored the effects of Peer Praise Notes on socially withdrawn students. She is currently studying the effects of teacher-to-teacher written praise on teacher relationships.
