Technology Skills Assessment :: Word Processing

To successfully complete this task, you must be able to complete the skills shown below. A sample task is also provided so you can practice the skills before taking the technology assessment. You may complete the task on your own or you may choose to go through our step by step tutorial. The content and data needed for this assignment will be provided as well.

Create a flyer to send home with your students giving information about your science class. The flyer should look identical to the example shown on the right (same layout, colors, font, etc). You can use the content for the flyer provided (to help you save time). When you are finished, save your flyer as a Word document called "science_flyer.doc". Make sure you include the following elements:

  • A title in blue 26 point "Gill Sans" font
  • Content text in red 14 point "Georgia" font
  • A link to "http://education.byu.edu"
  • An image of students in a lab
  • A table
  • A bulleted list
  • 2 graphics created with drawing tools
