• Study of teacher thinking and collaborative relationships during teacher preparation and induction into the teaching professeion.
• Inquiry into teacher education practices and their implications for schools of education, public education, teachers, and society
• Study of the development of preservice teachers as literacy teachers in the primary grades, especially influences on their choices of best practice and application of research to practice.
• Exploration of children''s developing understanding of, their learning about, and their use of literacy, within different contexts, classroom cultures, and environments.
