We believe that our most important responsibility as teacher educators is the growth and development of children and youth. We contribute to their development by preparing competent caring, and reflective teachers. This is our primary mission in Teacher Education at Brigham Young University.

Teacher Education candidates will be able to take the appropriate PRAXIS content knowledge test for their major on January 9, 2010. More Information

Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE)
We are excited to welcome the PETE program and faculty to our department. This transfer was recently announced by the Board of Trustees. We look forward to working closely with these faculty and the PETE students. The faculty will retain their offices in the Smith Fieldhouse. Take time to review the program online. The minor in Coaching and Teaching Physical Education is also part of the transfer.
