"The Brigham Young University-Public
School Partnership will design and implement technology-rich curriculum
for the teacher education program and K-12 schools, and mentor BYU faculty
and students in the use of technology-rich curriculum. BYU will support
on-going collaboration of all participants in sharing successes in curriculum
integration and implementation. These goals will be achieved through three
major project activities:
- (1) creating design teams
that will re-design our current teacher preparation curricula and public
school K-12 curricula
- (2) using teacher-student
electronic networks that will allow project participants to share newly
developed curricula
- (3) holding yearly summer
institutes focused on the infusion of technology into teaching and learning.
These three activities will
be shaped by a philosophy which emphasizes curriculum integration, problem
solving, data collection, information management, communications, presentations,
and decision making in teacher preparation and public school curriculum."
