Every February, McKay School students get the unique opportunity to have dinner with a principal. This provides the perfect platform for students to meet with educational professionals and ask for tips and suggestions on how best to prepare for a future in education.

Dinner With a Principal in 2015 was an enormous success with just over 150 people attending the event in the Skyroom on BYU campus—almost doubling last year’s participation.

“It’s turned out to be a very worthwhile project,” said Shauna Valentine, Alumni/PR Director for the McKay School. “People have been very positive about the information and insights they received through their conversations. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to have questions answered and to get a feel for what life is like being a teacher."

The event was open to all MSE students and the principal’s who attended were from districts including Provo, Alpine, Nebo, and Wasatch.

Dinner with the Principal is held annually. If you would like to attend our event next year, be sure to follow us on social media to know when registration opens.
