Opera by Children: A foray Into Imagination and ELA Connections
Session 1: Grades 2–6
A foray into the imaginative minds of young people is a privileged experience; the power of creativity is robustly unleashed in the process of creating a group opera. From story to libretto, set design to full ‘ginormous’ backdrop paintings, melody to performance; a group of young people do it all in less than 1,000 words. You can too! Join our session and together we will write and create an opera story! Learn what it takes to create an opera with your own students. It is easier than you think!!
