Explore the rich media of body percussion, vocal sounds, and classroom instruments to compose a performance work based on elements of the local landscape.
Leslie Timmons is flutist and music educator on the faculty of Utah State University in the Caine College of the Arts. She performs with the American Festival Orchestra, Logan Canyon Winds faculty woodwind quintet, and AirFare duo with clarinetist Nicholas Morrison. An Orff-Schulwerk clinician, her focus is on active music-making. Leslie has served on the boards of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, American Recorder Society, Utah Music Educators and Utah Flute Association and has presented across the U.S and internationally. She directs an annual Orff Teacher Education workshop on the USU campus. She is a regional director for the state’s Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTSALP) that fosters quality arts education for every child.
