Michael Hamblin made his entrance on the world stage in the multicultural mecca of Haight Ashbury, San Francisco. He began tapping as a youngster, which in turn lead to school and community theatre. Summer stock theatre and a touring gig with Disney came to an end when college became his paramount focus. Over a span of years he received a BS in Education, BA and MA in Modern Dance and music, and a PhD in staging and choreography for Musical Theatre. He has taught at Colorado State University, Bowling Green State University, Brigham Young University, and currently as an adjunct instructor at Weber State University. His career as a dance educator has included a parallel avocation traveling the world learning and teaching cultural dance.
