McKay Money Matters

Kick of 2020 with a little more Green. Read the latest on grant workshops and deadlines.

Faculty Accomplishments

They say 50% of journal articles are only read by their authors and editors. Prove them wrong!

Building Zion

Part of building Zion is lifting each other up, which is especially important in winter when less sunlight can take a toll on mental health. Keep an eye out for struggling students (and coworkers), and check out this resource from CAPS curated for faculty and staff.

Happenings

Did you miss the McKay school carolers last month? No worries! Watch the highlights video.

Erika Feinauer (TEd) gave birth to a little girl named Hilde Mae Schwobe on January 6 at 11:35 p.m. She weighed close to 8 lbs. and showed up with a full head of hair!

Retired TEd professor Nancy Dawn Brockbank Liviningston, PhD, passed away on January 1, 2020.

In this month's Employee Spotlight, meet Nancy Miramontes (CPSE): lover of avocados, retired salsa dance aficionado (for now), and, of course, dedicated professor.

"She has a standard, and that standard is no less than excellent." Watch the video about Nancy Peery Marriott award winner Cally Flox, director of the BYU ARTS Partnership.

Upcoming Events & Deadlines

Terisa Gabrielsen's (CPSE) Autism Translational Research Workshop is here again! Come learn new methods and ideas when working with individuals with autism on Friday, January 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the BYU Conference Center. Register now (and encourage students to as well)!
