A Letter From the Chair

Dear Current and Former EdLF Students,

We are formally launching this EdLF Newsletter to highlight the great things that are happening in our programs and with our current students. We also want to draw attention to the amazing things that our former students are doing to improve education across the globe.

As you know, preparing quality education leaders is the cornerstone of both our master's and doctoral programs. The school leadership master’s specialization, which includes full-time (LPP) and part-time (ExSL) options, prepares students to facilitate, motivate, and lead high levels of learning for all students and teachers. The licensure only (LO) track serves students who already have a master’s degree and are seeking a Utah state administrative license.

The education policy studies (EPS) specialization is a rigorous, full-time, two-year program that prepares professionals to contribute to educational change, policy, and research on a local, national, and/or global scale.

Finally, the EdD in educational leadership prepares mid-career leaders for advanced leadership positions in educational institutions.

Our vision is to improve life conditions and opportunities for individuals, families, and communities worldwide. Please invite those in your network who are looking to increase their skills to join us for one of these programs.

We hope you will find this newsletter a source of new ideas, a way to connect with current and former students, and a way to keep up with what’s new in our department. We also hope that you will stay in touch with us and let us know where you are serving in your leadership role and what unique things are happening in your area of influence.

We are truly grateful to be a part of the education community and wish you the best in your efforts to make a difference in the world.

Sincerely,

Pam Hallam
