It’s nearly time for BYU McKay School’s first in-person graduation since 2019! Convocation ceremonies will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, in the Marriott Center.
During convocation, two graduates—Lindsey Jorgensen and Oscar Olaya—will speak. Lindsey will receive a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in TESOL K–12. Oscar has earned an EdS in school psychology. Richard R. Sudweeks, PhD, professor in the Instructional Psychology and Technology Department in BYU McKay School, will be the keynote speaker.
This year at convocation, 123 graduate students and 314 undergraduate students will be recognized for their dedication and hard work throughout their time in McKay School programs. These students have faced numerous challenges over the past few years with the pandemic, including being tossed into online learning, concerns about health problems, and other complications. Despite these struggles, these students have excelled, pouring their hearts and their considerable talents into their learning experiences.
