Where are you from?

Born in Provo, moved around, now in Orem, but lived in England for 25 years

What and where have you studied?

Utah State - Secondary English and Deaf Education

Where have you previously worked?

Deafinitions - a non-profit supporting Deaf people

One of my first seasonal jobs was Christmas gift wrapping at the BYU Bookstore! 

I've been a horse-riding camp counselor, young women's camp lifeguard, full-time missionary (that's work!), teacher of British Sign Language at the MTC, and then worked at a non-profit in England until we moved back here. I started this job almost three years ago.

What is your current job title? Please describe what you do in that position.

Office Manager in Communication Disorders. I get to do all sorts of supporting the faculty, the speech and language clinic, and the undergrad and graduate students. I enjoy the variety and the department faculty are amazing. 

What is your favorite thing about the McKay School?

The wonderful other people I get to work with.

What is your go-to weeknight meal?

Chicken divine - a chicken and broccoli casserole dish that we have with rice.

What weird food combinations do you really enjoy?

I do love having fries with a chocolate milkshake.

Where could we find you on most Saturday mornings?

Reading or cleaning -- or trying to round up my kids to do Saturday chores.

Where is your favorite place to go on vacation?

England - to see my daughter, who's at university there. Or my husband and I recently took our first cruise, and I'd love to go on another one.

Would you rather spend a night out on the town or stay home inside with a book?

Stay home inside with a book.

Your house is on fire, you have 3 minutes to grab 3 things. What are they?

Passports, hard drives with family photos and documents, all the kids and pets!

What is one thing you can’t live without? 

My husband and children, the gospel - my Savior.
