Overview
This research project explores how virtual reality (VR) can support social collaboration for children with autism by comparing interactions in VR and in-person settings. Using the VR app Spatial, we design collaborative puzzle-solving activities to measure teamwork, communication, and engagement. By analyzing these interactions, we aim to assess the effectiveness of VR in fostering social skills and compare it to traditional in-person collaboration. The findings will provide insights into how technology-assisted interventions can enhance social development for children with autism, offering potential applications for education and therapy.
