Staff Employee Development Program
The Employee Development Program (EDP) is a resource designed to support professional growth, strengthen one-on-one conversations and help employees thrive in their job at BYU. Hosted in Workday Learning, the EDP is a self-paced course that walks you through a simple but meaningful development process. The employee will complete short learning modules, reflect on their strengths and goals and build an Individual Development Plan (IDP). Once submitted, the IDP is reviewed and approved by the employee's manager, providing a natural springboard for coaching, feedback and follow-up. In some cases, a one-time monetary recognition award may be approved as part of this process in consultation with line-supervision, your HR Business Partner and HR.
To get started, please review the EDP Information. Then, submit the EDP Pre-Approval Request Form to ensure your development plan qualifies for an award. Once you've completed your plan, submit the EDP Completion Form. You’ll find the information and both forms linked below.
