Heidi Holmes Erickson received her bachelor's degree from BYU in Political Science and her Ph.D in Education Policy from the University of Arkansas. Her research focuses on school accountability, school choice, and the effects of cultural exposure for students. Prior to coming to BYU she was a visiting assistant professor at Kennesaw State University.
