Brief Biography

Willis Jensen is an Associate Professor at Brigham Young University where he teaches statistics courses and advises graduate students in the McKay School of Education. He previously spent 20 years in industry, working as a statistician and leader at CHG Healthcare, W.L. Gore & Associates and 3M, where he helped solve business problems across the globe. He holds degrees in Statistics from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Virginia Tech and has more than 25 peer-reviewed publications on statistical applications. He has served on the editorial board for the Journal of Quality Technology and Quality Engineering and previously served as an Associate Editor of Technometrics. He is an ASQ Fellow, winner of the Bisgaard and Nelson awards, a 3-time winner of the Shewell award and the 2026 recipient of the Gerry Hahn award.
