Where are you from? 
Grew up in Bountiful, UT, but Spanish Fork has been home for 30 years! 

 

What and where have you studied? 
BYU for both bachelor’s (communication disorders) and master's degrees (audiology). 

 

Where have you previously worked? 
Intermountain Healthcare and University of Utah. 

 

What is your current job title? Please describe what you do in that position. 
Assistant teaching professor in communication disorders. I teach undergraduates in the major as well as do hearing testing in our clinic. 

 

What accomplishment are you most proud of? 
My family—my kids have turned out pretty well! 

 

What do you regret not starting or doing when you were younger? 
Playing the viola. I took lessons in grad school but didn't have the time to pursue it.  

 

What would you rate 10/10? 
Being in the mountains. 

 

If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be? 
Chocolate!! 

 

What is your go-to weeknight meal? 
Tacos 

 

Where could we find you on most Saturday mornings? 
In my yard: planting, weeding, watering, and relaxing. 

 

Where is your favorite place to go on vacation? 
Peru

Sourdough starter
