Segment -ot words

- l + ot = lot
- d + ot = dot
- h + ot = hot
- g + ot = got
- Have the children blend individual sounds to make a word:
- l + o + t = lot
- d + o + t = dot
- h + o + t = hot
- g + o + t = got
Write -ot words
- Fill in the initial letter
- Write -ot with a space in front of it.
- Tell the children to put an L in front of -ot to make lot.
- Repeat with other -ot words (e.g., got, not, dot, pot).
