Read about making pizza

  • Have the children help make a list of the -ip words and read the list together.

    • Change the beginning consonant(s): striptrip; dipdrip; lipflip; riptrip; striprip.
    • Change the vowel: tiptop; triptrap; dripdrop; snipsnap.

Read and write about how to rip, tip, drip, whip, snip and clip to make a pizza

  • Read the Make Pizza text (see below) with the children.
  • Display a word wall with -ip words.
