  • Have the children write Q and q in the air with their fingers while saying “/kw/, /kw/, /kw/: Q!”
  • Make the Q crown, and put it on; tell the children that you are a “Q Queen” who likes to answer quiet questions about the letter Q.
  • Have the children take turns drawing letter cards (see below) and quietly asking the queen, “Queen, is this a Q?”
  • If the letter is an uppercase Q or lowercase letter q, let the child tape it to the queen’s crown.
  • Let the children take turns being the “Q Queen.”
