A Brisk Walk in the Crisp Air

I have a task to do.
I whisk off with a friend to do my task.
We want to be back before dusk.
So we take a brisk walk in the crisp air.
If we’re out after dusk, it may be hard to see our way back.
I don’t want to take a risk, so we will be back before dusk.
Then we see a person wearing a mask.
I startle and gasp.
I grasp and clasp my friend’s arm.
“Who are you?” I ask the person in the mask.
When I ask, he takes off the mask.
Phew! It’s a friend who wanted to make me laugh.
I laugh, let go of my grasp, and unclasp my friend’s arm.
We continue our brisk walk, carry out our task, and get home before dusk.

Whisk Away Leaves and a Wasp

I have a task to do.
I need to whisk away leaves from a path.
I don’t want to risk being done after dusk.
So I briskly whisk along doing my task in the crisp air.
As I briskly whisk along, I feel something land on my arm.
I startle and gasp.
I grasp and clasp my arm.
I look down and see a wasp.
I whisk the wasp away and unclasp my arm.
Then I go back to my task.
And I get done before dusk.
