Is it a Rat, a Cat, or a Bat?

I once had a little pet rat.
He was a nice little rat with round ears, whiskers, and a little tail.
I had so much fun playing with my rat.
But you know, there was also this cat in my house that would chase after my rat.
The cat had a big tail and pointy ears.
I was afraid the cat would eat my rat, so I picked up my rat and said, “No, cat!
Don’t chase my rat!”
The cat was sorry, and so we let him play with us.
Then, out of nowhere, we saw something fly across the room.
It was a bat!
It had big black wings and pointy ears like the cat.
It flew down and we all played together: rat, cat, and bat!

Is the Cat at Bat?

Let the cat and the rat bat the ball.
They will be at bat.

Who is at bat?
Is the cat at bat?
Will the cat bat the ball to the rat?

Who is at bat?
Is the rat at bat?
Will the rat bat the ball to the cat?

Who is at bat?
Is it the fat rat?
Will the fat rat bat the ball to the spooky bat?

Who is at bat?
Is the Cat-in-the-Hat at bat?
Will the cat bat the ball to the spooky bat?

The cat, rat, and spooky bat all will get a turn at bat.

Looking for a Fat Bat

Looking for a fat bat.
I’m not afraid.
Got my fat rat.
Got my fat cat.
Coming to a flat hat!
Go around the flat hat.

Looking for a fat bat.
I’m not afraid.
Got my fat rat.
Got my fat cat.
Coming to a swamp!
Splat, splat, splat.

Looking for a fat bat.
I’m not afraid.
Got my fat rat.
Got my fat cat.
Coming to a cave!

Going in the cave.
Calling to a fat bat.
Fat bat?  Fat bat?
Eek!  There’s a fat bat!
Scat!  Scat!
Out of the cave!
Through the swamp!
Around the flat hat!
Back to the mat!
Whew!  We’re safe from the fat bat!
Give each other a pat.
