A Small Arsenal of Artsy Awesomeness
Sessions 1, 3, 4 & 5: Grades K–6
Put on your animated shorts! I will be sharing several of my best integrated elementary art lesson plans that are complemented by animated short films (1–5 minutes in length) easily found on the Internet. The projects span from Shrinky Dink Insect Keychains to Sugar Skull Masks for Dia de Los Muertos, and help you captivate your kiddos with quality animation as a tantalizer.
Christine Palmer has been creating art as long as she can remember with whatever she can get her hands on. Her current passion is restoring vintage pieces of furniture into funky works of art. It is her creative idea of recycling. From pottery to painting, her art has been displayed and sold nationwide. Christine has taught art at all grade levels from kindergarten through university and professes that each and every age level is her absolute favorite. She still finds it hard to believe that you can get paid for having so much fun. Christine received her BA and MA in art education from Brigham Young University and is currently part of the art education faculty at BYU and is a professional development partner for the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTSALP).
