Whether you work with a small group or one pupil these tips will help maintain a productive learning environment.

Specifically teach routines and expectations at the beginning of the school year
Have students practice the procedure
Reinforce (PRAISE) students who are following procedure
Support and redirect students who need extra support
Be consistent and practice regularly
Under the direction of the teacher, paraeducators can conduct behavior reviews during the school year
