Problem Solving

Use of word problems to promote mathematical reasoning and thinking skills in application, connection, and interpretation. Problem solving integrates the skills learned earlier. It is important to note that a student may have the necessary math skills, but lack reading skills, and therefore will need support in solving story problems.
