Motivation

Ideas for motivation are needed when working with special needs students. Nothing replaces effective instruction, but the tools for motivation and behavior go hand-in-hand with good teaching.

There may be many reasons a student appears not to be motivated in school. He may be hungry, having felt home without proper food. She may be worried about a relationship with a boyfriend. They may be difficult to reach if they do not attend school. Learn what might be causing the problem. Ask the teacher and/or others.
