Teamwork Training

Working together in a collaborative, united effort is like a graceful waltz, where each partner has a role that is performed together with apparent ease. Teachers and teaching assistants or paraeducators can do the same. We often see it in classrooms where one “partner” appears to read the mind of the other, anticipating which students need help, moving about the classroom, and supporting one another as they boost student learning. Effective communication, observation, collaboration for positive relationships, and evaluation each adds to the effectiveness of the team. Determining and abiding by classroom roles supports the advancement of effective teams.
